SERVICING YOUR MOWER

CONTROL CABLE ADJUSTMENTS

Smart Drive Cable Check
With the engine not running,
apply finger pressure to the
Smart Drive control until it stops.
Cable adjustment is correct if the
Smart Drive control is aligned
with the handlebar with finger
pressure.
If the Smart Drive control is not
properly aligned, adjust the cable
as follows.

Smart Drive Cable Adjustment

If cable adjustment is required;
1. Loosen the jam nut from the
adjuster.
2. Turn the adjuster in the
loosen direction to move the
Smart Drive control lever as
shown.
3. Adjust the cable tension until
the Smart Drive control lever
aligns with the handlebar.
4. Tighten the jam nut to lock
the adjuster in place.
