AppleTalk Printing (Mac OS X)

AXIS OfficeBasic USB Wireless
This chapter contains instructions for the following setup procedures:
AppleTalk Printing (Mac OS X), on page 27
IP Printing (Mac OS X), on page 28
Installation on MacOS 9.1 or older, using AppleTalk, on page 28
1. Make sure the print server has a valid IP address and that you can access
its web interface, see page 10.
2. In the print server's web interface, select Setup | AppleTalk.
3. In the AppleTalk Zone field, enter the zone in which your Mac OS operates.
Click Save and Restart.
4. From the Apple menu, select Go | Applications | Utilities and start the
Print Center.
5. Click Add in the Printer List.
6. Select AppleTalk from the top drop-down menu.
7. Select the AppleTalk zone in which your Mac OS operates (same as entered
in step 3 above).
8. Your networked printer will appear in the Printer List (the default name is
AXxxxxxx_USB, where the Xs represent the last 6 digits of the print
server's serial number).
9. From the Printer Model drop-down list, select the printer manufacturer
and model. Click Add.
