WARNING
Gasoline vehicle only:
• To avoid unintentionally starting the vehicle:
- Disconnect battery cables, negative (–) cable first (Figure 2).
- Disconnect the spark plug wire from the spark plug.
• Frame ground – Do not allow tools or other metal objects to contact frame when
disconnecting battery cables or other electrical wiring. Do not allow a positive wire to touch
the vehicle frame, engine, or any other metal component.

BATTERY DISCONNECTION

Refer to the following figures for correct battery disconnection information for your vehicle.
Place Tow/Run
switch in TOW.
FRONT
OF VEHICLE
Place TOW/RUN Switch in the TOW
position before disconnecting or
connecting battery cables.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Precedent Golf Cars are available with either electric or gasoline power. Electric vehicles use a 48-volt system
known as the IQ System. Throughout this manual, important features unique to each model are highlighted.
We urge the owner/operator to read and understand this manual, and to pay special attention to the features
specific to his/her vehicle(s).
