    Get started Always follow the instructions in this chapter in sequence. Modification of the product could result in hazardous radiation of EMC or other unsafe operation. If you contact Philips, you will be asked for the model and serial number of this apparatus. The model number and serial number are on the bottom of the apparatus.     Open the battery compartment. Insert 3 AA batteries (not supplied) with correct polarity (+/-) as indicated. Close the battery compartment. Placement You can place the unit on a flat surface or hang it in your bathroom through the strap.

    Turn on Press to turn on the radio. Switch to standby mode Press again to switch to standby mode. Set time In standby mode, press and hold TIMER for 3 seconds. The hour digits blink. » Press +/- to adjust the hour. Press TIMER to confirm. The minute digits blink. » Press +/- to adjust the minute. Press TIMER to confirm.

    Listen to radio Select FM/MW waveband Press to turn on the radio. Press and hold BAND for 3 seconds to select FM or MW waveband. Tune to a radio station In tuner mode, press TUNE. [FM] or [MW] begins to blink. » Rotate clockwise or counter-clockwise to tune to a radio station. Press TUNE again to confirm.

    Program radio stations automatically Note • You can program a maximum of 20 preset FM radio stations and 20 preset MW radio stations. In tuner mode, press and hold for 2 seconds. All available stations are programmed in the order of » waveband reception strength. The first programmed radio station broadcasts automatically. » Program radio stations manually In tuner mode, tune to a radio station. Press and hold PRESET for 3 seconds. The number begins to blink. » Rotate to select a preset number. Press PRESET to confirm. Repeat steps 1 - 4 to program more stations.

    • To overwrite a programmed station, program another station in its place. Select a preset radio station In tuner mode, press +/- to select a preset radio station. Set the sleep timer The clock radio can be turned off automatically after a preset period of time. Press TIMER repeatedly to select a time period (in minutes). When you contact Philips, make sure that the device is nearby and the model number and serial number are available.
