Movie format

You can set the recording method used to record movies.
1. Set the camera to shooting mode.

DSC-TX10
AVCHD movies are recorded. Sets the recording method to AVCHD, which is
suitable for viewing smooth video images on a high-definition television. Blu-ray
discs, AVCHD discs and DVD-Video discs can be created using the supplied
AVCHD
software "PMB".
However, movies cannot be created from movies recorded in [AVC HD 24M
(FX)] to AVCHD discs. Save the images to Blu-ray discs.
MP4 (AVC) movies are recorded. Sets the recording method to MP4, which is
MP4
suitable for WEB uploads and e-mail attachments. No discs can be created from
MP4 movies, even if you use the supplied software "PMB".
DSC-TX100 / TX100V
Sets the recording method to [AVCHD 60i/60p] (1080 60i-compatible devices) or
[AVCHD 50i/50p] (1080 50i-compatible devices), which is suitable for viewing
AVCHD
smooth video images on a high-definition television. Blu-ray discs, AVCHD discs
60i/60p
and DVD-Video discs can be created using the supplied software "PMB".

However, movies recorded with Movie Mode set to [AVC HD 28M (PS)] cannot
AVCHD
be saved to a disc without changing the original quality. Convert the movie using
50i/50p
"PMB" and save it to the disc.
Movies recorded with Movie Mode set to [AVC HD 24M (FX)] cannot be save to
a DVD disc or as an AVCHD disc. Save them to a Blu-ray disc.
MP4 (AVC) movies are recorded. Sets the recording method to MP4, which is
