    Programming the Camera The camera is programmed using the on-screen display (OSD) menus. You may need to connect a portable monitor during installation using the supplied adapter cable. To access the OSD menu system, press the OSD controller joystick located on the camera control board.

    Exposure Menu EXPOSURE LENS Note Only DC mode is supported at this time. Choosing MANUAL mode may cause the camera to operate incorrectly. Select DC. Press the OSD controller joystick to adjust the brightness level of the monitor screen. Select a value from 0 to 99 (99 = brightest).
  • Page 7 EXPOSURE E. SHUTTER (Electronic Shutter) You can select from 18 different shutter speed levels, from X256 to 1/100000. The default shutter speed is 1/60. Note The SENSE_UP menu cannot be controlled if the E.SHUTTER setting is above 1/250. Select 1/100FLC to run camera in flickerless mode.
  • Page 8 EXPOSURE BLC (Backlight Compensation) Backlight Compensation prevents subjects in defined areas of the scene from appearing too dark when backlighting is present. Select ON or OFF. If ON is selected, you can adjust the BLC level in five areas of the scene (top, bottom, center, left, right).

  • Page 10 EXPOSURE AGC (Auto Gain Control) Auto Gain Control automatically adjusts the video gain to enhance picture brightness in low light conditions. Select one of the following settings: • • • MIDDLE • HIGH EXPOSURE SENSE_UP Sense Up automatically activates slow shutter function when a scene is too dark.

    Color Menu COLOR WB MODE (White Balance) To set the white balance mode, select one of the following: • AWC - Auto White Balance Control mode compensates for color temperature changes between 2000 K and 18000 K. • ATW - Auto Tracking White Balance mode compensates for color temperature changes between 2500 K and 9500 K.
  • Page 12 COLOR WB MODE If WB mode is set to MANUAL, you can manually adjust the red level (M.WB R) and the blue level  (M.WB B). Select a value from 0 to 255. COLOR R-Y GAIN AND B-Y GAIN R-Y GAIN sets the amount of red in the image.

    Day&Night Menu DAY&NIGHT D&N MODE (True Day/Night) To set the True Day/Night mode, select one of the following: • AUTO - Camera automatically switches between day and night mode depending on the light level. • COLOR - Camera remains in day mode, regardless of light level.

    Function Menu FUNCTION MIRROR Select one of the following settings: • • MIRROR - Flips the image horizontally • V-FLIP - Flips the image vertically • ROTATE - Combines V-FLIP and MIRROR FUNCTION SHARPNESS To set the image sharpness, select a value from 0 to 49 (49 = sharpest).

  • Page 18 FUNCTION HME (Highlight Masking Exposure) Highlight Masking Exposure masks highlights, allowing objects to appear more clearly on the screen. Select ON or OFF. If ON is selected, you can adjust the HME level. Adjust the HME level by selecting a value from 0 to 60. The higher the number, the darker the masking will be.

    Motion Menu MOTION MOTION You can set the camera to detect movement and to display an alarm on the screen when movement is detected. Select ON or OFF. If ON is selected, set the range of cells for motion detection. Selected cells appear blue.

    MOTION DELAY OUT You can set how long the alarm is displayed on the screen when motion is detected. Select a value from 1 to 15 seconds. Privacy Menu PRIVACY MASK 1 to MASK 6 Privacy masks let you hide parts of the screen from view.
