VXI TuffSet Link is designed for telephone systems that do not require an
amplifier. The headset connects directly to telephones that are equipped
with a headset jack.
Simply plug VXI TuffSet Link into the headset jack on your telephone.
SPECIAL PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS FOR
SOME NORTHERN TELECOM STATIONS
FOLD
Set Transmit for VXI TuffSet Link:
1. Press the Program key on your phone.
2. Press 10 on the phone's dial pad. The Handset/Headset Program will
appear on your phone's display by showing a 1 2 3 with a cursor
flashing beside one of the numbers.
3. Transmit adjustments for headsets are positions 1 and 2 (3 is for
handset only). Press 1 or 2 on your phone's keypad to adjust to the
headset's transmit level that is comfortable for you.
4. Press the Program key on your phone to lock in the transmit level.
Set Receive Volume for VXI TuffSet Link:
1. Press the Program key on your phone.
2. Press 00 on the phone's dial pad. The Receive Program will appear on
your phone's display by showing a 1 2 3 4 with a cursor flashing beside
one of the numbers.
3. Press the number 4 on your phone's dial pad to establish maximum
volume for your VXI TuffSet Link.
4. Press the Program key on your phone.
5. You are now able to adjust your volume up and down by using the
volume bar on your telephone.
Note: For the best performance, the gain on the SL-1 switch should be set
at 57.75 Db.

If any VXI headset or amplifier fails to work for any reason during the first two years from the date of purchase as shown by the purchaser's warranty registration, VXI will repair or replace the headset or amplifier, at it's election, free of charge. Without warranty registration, the warranty period begins on the date of manufacture.
