In the USER SETTINGS menu, select USER PREFERENCES.
-
Banner time-out: you can set the display time of the information banner.
-
Network monitoring: you can activate network monitoring. If activated, you will be informed of any
new channel or service when it is available.
-
Volume bar time-out: you can set the display time of the volume indicator.
-
User country: displays your geographical location.
-
Recording Type (depending on software version): you can specify the mode to be applied by default
for recordings that you programme via the electronic programme guide: Programme or Timer mode.
-
EPG record margin settings (Timer mode): you can programme recording margins which will be
automatically added to the recordings carried out via the electronic programme guide, in Timer mode.
You can thus programme the receiver so that it starts to record a programme before its announced
start time, and stops after its announced end time.
-
Sleep Timer (depending on software version): you can set the receiver to automatically switch to
standby mode at a specific time. When this is set, the receiver (and the television set) will be put
automatically into standby mode at the specified time (24H format).
If you want to change country, please perform a reset to default settings
(see "Return to default factory settings", page 15).
If you make a wrong selection, some services or channels may become
unavailable.
If the recording type choice does not appear among the user preferences, it
means that this mode is not available for your country. Only the fixed Timer
recording mode is available to you (see "Recording modes: Timer or
Programme", page 26).
