13.0 Recording Audio
13.1 Entering Recordings Mode
To enter the Recordings Mode:
1. Use the Mode Selector to navigate
to the Recordings Mode.
2. Press the MENU/ENTER button to
select the RECORDINGS Mode.
13.2 Basic Recorder Operations
To set the record options:
1. Press and hold the MENU/ENTER button to display the recording options
menu.
2. Press the MENU/ENTER button to select Record Format from the menu
and to enter the sub-menu.
3. Use the arrow keys to select either the WAV format or MP3 format:
WAV files are not compressed, thus they produce high quality
MP3 encoding is not as high-quality as WAV but generally sounds
4. Press the VOL/EXIT button to return to the options menu.
5. Use the arrow keys to scroll to Record Quality.
6. Press the MENU/ENTER button to select Record Format from the menu
and to enter the sub-menu.
7. Use the arrow keys to select either HIGH, MEDIUM, or LOW record
quality for your audio. Like high photo resolution, higher record quality
will produce higher quality audio, but will also require more storage
space.
8. Press the VOL/EXIT button to return to the options menu.
9. Use the arrow keys to scroll to Record Gain.
10. Press the MENU/ENTER button to select Record Format from the menu
and to enter the sub-menu.
11. Choose a record gain at which to record your audio. As with file format,
higher record gain will produce higher quality audio, but will also require
more storage space.
12. You can also choose to save your recordings to internal or card memory
by entering the Save Path option in the menu page.
