Before removing the fan, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet
and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

Remove the fan:
1. Position the computer upside down on a flat surface.
2. Disconnect the display cable (1), remove the four T8 2.5x3.0 screws (2), and then remove the
fan plate (3).
3. Position the computer right-side up, and open the display panel.
4. Open the power button cable ZIF connector (1) and remove the cable (2).
5. Disconnect the fan cable (3) from the system board.
