I have the model without the water dispenser. Inherited it when I moved house.
Top half of freezer side has defrosted. Bottom of fridge side freezes. Not sure what to do. Temp reads -20 and 2? Then shows 9 and 2 which is a concern

If the top half of the freezer has defrosted and the bottom of the fridge is freezing, with temperature readings first at -20°C (freezer) and 2°C (fridge), then later at 9°C (freezer) and 2°C (fridge), this may indicate an airflow or cooling circulation issue. Check the following:
1. Ensure the freezer door is fully closed. 2. Make sure air vents inside the fridge and freezer are not blocked by food items. 3. Confirm the unit is not overloaded, which can restrict airflow. 4. Check if the display or control panel is functioning normally. 5. Monitor for door alarms or blinking temperature indicators, which may signal high internal temperature.
If the issue continues, service may be required to inspect internal components like the fan or defrost system.

To reduce the fridge temperature on the John Lewis JLAFFW2011, repeatedly press the Freezer button until the desired temperature is selected.
To cancel the child lock, press and hold the Lock button until the lock mode is deactivated.
