Engine oil

Make sure that there is sufficient oil in the oil tank.
NOTE:

Since the fuel tank cap and oil tank cap look similar, be
careful not to mistake the caps.

Oil tank capacity: 3.0 L (2.6 Imp qt, 3.2 US qt)
Recommended oil: YAMALUBE 2-cycle oil

Coolant

Check the coolant level in the coolant reservoir when the
engine is cold. If the coolant level is below the
"COLD LEVEL" mark, add soft water until it reaches the
"COLD LEVEL" mark. (See pages 8-11–8-12 for more
details.)

Hard water or salt water is harmful to the engine
parts. You may use boiled or distilled water, if soft
water is not available.
