Shifting to "Bow Down"
"Bow Down" puts more of the bow in the
water. This gives the water vehicle more
"hook", which enhances turning perfor-
mance. This position will also help the
water vehicle get up on plane more quick-
ly. At higher speeds, however, the water
vehicle will have greater tendency to
"bow steer" and follow waves and wakes
in the water. Fuel economy and maxi-
mum speed are also reduced.
Shifting to "Bow Up"
"Bow Up" puts less of the bow in the
water. There is less water resistance, so
straight-ahead
plane and top speed are enhanced. In
some conditions, however, the vehicle
may tend to "porpoise" (hop in the
water). If the vehicle is porpoising, choose
Neutral or Bow Down trim.

B
begins to blink, the buzzer sounds, and
C
the engine speed will be limited to about
3,000 r/min.
If this happens, check for water discharge

is no discharge of water, beach the vehi-
cle and check the jet intake grille and
