BREAKING IN (RUNNING IN)
ENGINE
Your new engine requires a period of break-
in (running-in) to allow mating surfaces of
moving parts to wear-in evenly. Correct
break-in (running-in) will help ensure proper
performance and longer engine life.

8 Failure to follow the break-in (running-
in) procedure may result in reduced
engine life or even severe engine dam-
age.
8 Premix fuel must be used during
break-in (running-in) in addition to oil
in the Precision Blend System.
8 After break-in (running-in), use gaso-
line (petrol) only. If premix fuel is used
continuously, the oxygen sensor for
the Electronic Fuel Injection system
could be damaged.
Break-in (running-in) time: 10 hours
Break-in (running-in) premix ratio
Gasoline (petrol) : Engine oil = 50:1
