    If you want to have any respectable amount of power for your amp, you need a 4-gauge wire to the trunk as a bare minimum.     TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE This power amplifier has protection features to prevent most forms of damage. If the unit senses excessive heat, short circuited speakers or overload, the protection indicators will be lit and the system will be turned off. Prior to checking the wiring for any fault, you should turn all level controls down and turn off power.
