Battery Safety

Your device is powered by a rechargeable batty. The full performance of a
new battery is achieved only after two or three complete charge and
discharge cycles. The battery can be charged and discharged hundreds of
times but it will eventually wear out. When the talk and standby times are
noticeably shorter than normal, buy a new battery.
• A new battery or one that has not been used for a long time could
have reduced capacity the first few times it is used. The battery can
only be charged in temperatures between 0 °C (+32 °F) and +45 °C
(+113 °F).
• Only use batteries approved by Toshiba and only recharge the
battery with the recommended charger supplied by Toshiba.
• When the charger is not in use disconnect it from the power source.
• Do not leave the battery connect to the charger and power source for
longer then necessary as overcharging it will shorten its life.
• Do not short-circuit the battery. Accidental short-circuiting can occur
when a metallic object causes a direct connection between the + and
- terminals of the battery.
• Do not expose the battery to extreme temperatures, for example, a
fridge or a car, exposed to direct sunlight as this will effect its
performance.
• Do not dispose of the battery in a fire.
• Do not dispose of the battery in an ordinary bin. The battery contains
toxic chemicals and must be disposed of in the correct manner.
