International Laundry Care Symbols

In order to assist you in taking care of your textiles, these contain a label with the
necessary information. The information is given by the following symbols:
WASHING

(Washtub)
Normal

The values in the washtub correspond to the maximum water temperatures that are not to be exceeded.
A line below the washtub indicates gentle (mechanical) handling (for example, washing with slow
rhythmn). It denotes wash cycles that are suitable, for example, for Easy-Care and delicate articles.

Chlorine bleach may be used
IRONING
(Flatiron)
The dots indicate the temperature ranges of the automatically controlled iron.
DRY

drum)
The letters are for dry cleaning. They provide information in regards to solvents.
The line below the circle indicates that a reduction of mechanical action, humidity and temperature is
required during cleaning.

(Drying drum)
The dots indicate the drying levels of the tumbler (laundry dryer).
Before the first washing - wash once without laundry articles
Before you wash laundry for the first time, we suggest running the "COTTONS 90° without
Prewash" wash cycle without laundry and with 1/2 measuring cup of detergent. In this
way, any water left over from testing the machine will be removed.
