Demo function

A
When the unit is fi rst plugged in, a demonstration of its
functions may be shown on the display.
If the demo setting is off, you can show a demonstration by
selecting "DEMO ON".
Press and hold [STOP g, -DEMO].
Each time you do this:
DEMO OFF (off)
DEMO ON (on)
Select "DEMO OFF" to reduce power consumption in the
standby mode.

Setting the time

This is a 24-hour clock.
The example shows how to set the clock for 18:30 (6:30
pm).

Press [^] to turn the unit on.

Press [CLOCK/TIMER] to select "CLOCK".
Each time you press the button:
CLOCK

Original display

Within 7 seconds:
Press [
/REW] or [

time.
Press and hold to change the time faster.

Press [CLOCK/TIMER].
The time is set and the original display is restored.
Displaying the clock:
Press [CLOCK/TIMER].
The clock is shown for about 7 seconds.
Note
The clock may lose or gain some time over a period.
Readjust if necessary.

Auto-off function

When CD or tape is selected as the source
To save power, the unit turns off if it is left unused for 10
minutes.
This function does not work if the source is tuner or AUX.
Press and hold [SLEEP, -AUTO OFF].
"AUTO OFF" is shown on the display.
To cancel
Press and hold [SLEEP, -AUTO OFF] again to clear "AUTO
OFF" from the display.
For your reference
The setting is maintained even if the unit is turned off.
"AUTO OFF" disappears from the display if either tuner or
AUX is selected as the source but continues to function
normally.
