Outdoor Antenna Grounding
I[ an outdoor antenna is installed, follow tile precaunons below An
outdoor antenna system should not be k/cated in tile vicinity of
overhead power foles or other electric light or po_ver circuits, or
where it can corne in con_ct with such power lines oi¸ ciicui_.
WHEN INSTALLING AN OUTDOOR ANTENNA SYSTEM,

Be sure tile antenna system is gi ounded so as to pi ovide some
protection against voltage sulges and built up static charges

Section 54 of the Canadian Elecmcal Code in Canada provides
information with _espect to proper grounding of the mast and
suppomng structure, grounding of the lead in wire to an antenna
dischmge unit, size of grounding conductors, focation of antenna

requirements for the grounding electrode
