Using the Supplied USB Reader Writer for SD Memory Card

Using the supplied USB Reader Writer for SD Memory Card lets you import the still pictures recorded on the
MultiMediaCard or SD Memory Card with ease into a computer.
≥Note that operations are not guaranteed for all PCs providing the recommended environment.

Turn on the power of the computer, and
start Windows.

Plug the USB Reader Writer for SD Memory
Card's connector into the USB port on the
computer.
≥The [Add New Hardware Wizard] window
appears when the USB Reader Writer for SD
Memory Card has been connected to the
computer for the first time.

Click [Next].

To select the search method, select
[Search for the best driver for your device,
(Recommended).] and click [Next].

Insert the supplied CD-ROM into the CD-
ROM drive.
≥It takes the computer several seconds to
recognize the CD-ROM.

About the USB Reader Writer for SD Memory Card

Inserting the MultiMediaCard into the USB
Reader Writer for SD Memory Card
Hold the MultiMediaCard with its label facing
upward and the cut-off corner to the right, and
insert it into the Card Slot.
≥Do not remove the MultiMediaCard while the
[ACCESS] Lamp lights.
≥Be sure to insert the MultiMediaCard all the way
into the USB Reader Writer for SD Memory Card
until it stops. Forcefully inserting the
MultiMediaCard in the wrong direction may
damage the USB Reader Writer for SD Memory
Card and/or the MultiMediaCard.
Cautions
≥Do not subject the USB Reader Writer for SD
Memory Card to shocks.
≥Do not insert any objects except
MultiMediaCards; otherwise it could damage the
USB Reader Writer for SD Memory Card and the
connected equipment.
≥Keep the USB Reader Writer for SD Memory
Card away from high-temperature locations and
direct sunlight.
≥Do not attempt to disassemble or remodel the
USB Reader Writer for SD Memory Card.
≥Operation may not or will not be performed
properly when it is connected simultaneously
with other USB equipments.

Operations on the Computer
When the MultiMediaCard is inserted, the USB
Reader Writer for SD Memory Card operates like a
floppy disk drive, and you can use the same drag
and drop or copy methods.
≥If the computer has been connected via two or
more USB cables or if another dedicated adaptor
has been connected to the USB Reader Writer
for SD Memory Card, operation may not be
performed properly.
≥If you are using a notebook computer, be sure to
connect its AC adaptor.
Image Data on the MultiMediaCard
If you double-click on the Removable Disk icon,
the folders are displayed. (Dcim\100cdpfp)
The Image Data recorded by this Movie Camera is
JPEG Format. (Example: Imga0001.jpg)
≥If you change the file name, it may not be
possible to play back the corresponding
picture(s) on the Movie Camera.
≥Pictures that you have edited or composed on a
computer can be saved on the MultiMediaCard,
however, they may not be played back on the
Movie Camera.
