Auto station search
The auto station search function automatically
searches for radio stations that have good
reception.
Press and hold the + or – button.
Release the button once the frequency shown
in the display panel starts changing. The auto
search function will automatically stop at the
next station that has good reception.
Notes concerning auto station search
• The auto search function may not operate correctly
from 90 MHz to 108 MHz in the FM band, due to
interference from TV signals. In such cases, use the
manual station selection method.
• When TV reception shares some bandwidth with FM
reception,it may interfere with the FM signals.
Tuning interval
The two factory settings for the AM tuning
interval are 10 kHz per step (in U.S. and Cana-
dian models) and 9 kHz per step (in Taiwanese
and European models).
The two factory settings for the FM tuning
interval are 100 kHz per step (in U.S. and
Canadian models) and 50 kHz per step (in
Taiwanese and European models).
When using the CD/Receiver System in a region
that has a different AM/FM frequency band
allocation, perform the following operation to
change the AM/FM tuning interval from 10 kHz/
100 kHz per step to 9 kHz/50 kHz per step (or
vice-versa).
While tuned to an AM or FM station, press and
hold the STOP button first, then press and hold
the MODE button. Keep all two buttons
pressed for at least three seconds.
The AM/FM tuning range is switched as shown
