MOVIE DISC ENTERTAINMENT
The on-screen disolav can be defeated to enhance the ambience
ol movie entertainment. The quick-turn funclion to reduces the
time required before starting playback and disc turning.
To turn off the display
Press DISPLAY OFF.
The indicator lights.
The display window as wel as the on-screen display turns off.
However. when a button on the olaver or remote control Lrnit is
pressed, the operation mode is displayed for about 1.5 second.
The TV screen color while the disc is turned or stopped chang-
es from a blue background to black a background.
NOTE:
When DISPLAY OFF is pressed, the display window turns off
even while the power is ON. The display OFF state is held in
memoty even after the power is switched off so the display
wlndow is aff when the power is switched an later. To turn on
lhe display window, prcss DISPLAY OFf again
To reduce the playback start time and turn
time (OUICK-TURN)
The indicator lights when the quick-turn function is on.

Press OUICK TUBN to turn this function off.

When the quick turn is on, the TOC recorded on the disc is not
read so the time required belore starting playback or turning
the disc can be redirced.
As a result, even when the LD being played contains TOC
information, the random playback, total iime display. remain-
ing time display and lhe elapsed time display of CAV (stan-
dald playl disc with not function.

Press ll. The audio and video disaooear and the rI indica
tor lights on the display. Pressing tt again resumes play
back from the position where it was paused.

an LD disc.
. Leaving the player in pause mode for a long period of
time may shorten the life of the motor. Therefore, the
player automatical y enters stop mode when pause

side the player. lf an LD is placed in it, the previous state is
rccalled frcm the memory and the quicklun is turned on
again.
