PROGRAMMED PLAYBACK (PLAYING CHAPTERS/TRACKS BY
CHANGING THEIR ORDER AS REOUIRED
Desired chapters (LD) or tracks (CDV/CD) can be programmed to
be p ayed in a desired order. Up to 24 chapters/tracks can be
programmed at a trme.

Programming operation can be made easier by observing the
on-screen display or display window during operation.

Programmed playback starts after searching the first pro-
grammed traclvchapter. In the examples above, the pro-
grammed playback starts from chapter^rack No. L When
chapter/track Nos. 9, 7, and then
'18
have been played,
the player enters stop mode.

Programming pauses together with chapternrack numbers is very
convenient for recording the programmed playback.

ln case oJ recording the programmed playback on two sides of
an audio tape, it is recommended to program a pause after the
last chapter^rack to be recorded on the first side of the tape.
This makes it possible to flip the tape while playback is paused
and avoid making a reco'ding rr'staIe.

While programmed playback is paused, it is possible to record a
narration of create a non-recorded blank. Pressing tt in pause
mode Tesumes programmed playback so that recording can be
restarted.

To check the proqrammed contents
When PGM is pressed during or after programmed playback, the
programmed contents can be displayed on the TV screen. PTess-
ing PGM again turns off the display of the programmed contents.

To delete a programmed chapter number, track number or pause :

you want to program a pause, press ll.

lf you press > in place of PGM, programrned playback starts
from the first programmed chapter or track.
o lt is not possible to replace or clear the chapter or track being
oraveo.

Open the disc table.

Press CLEAR in stop mode.

When CLEAR is pressed during playback, the programmed play-
back is cance ed and normal playback starts. Pressing CLEAR
again also clears the programmed contents.
