purposes (see p.22 7). This
function is designed to be
used to change the levels
temporarily to hear on
speaker louder.
Return the settings to their
original state when done.

It takes a moment for the machine to set itself. The MASTER
STANDARD
MPEG
VOLUME dial rotates to the reference position (0 dB), and the test
STEREO
tone is output.
To exit before outputting the Test Tone
Press the ENTER button.
To exit while outputting the Test Tone
Press the ENTER or SYSTEM SETUP button.

Adjust speaker levels so that you hear the test tone at
the same volume from each speaker when seated in
your main listening position.
The volume of the sub woofer tends to sound lower than it actually
is. You may need to raise its level after testing the sound with
actual soundtracks.
In the AUTO mode
1 Press the 2 or 3 button to adjust the level of the speaker
outputting the Test Tone.
In the MANU mode
1 Press the 2 or 3 button to adjust the level of the first speaker.
2 Press the 5¥
speaker.
3 Repeat 1 and 2 for each speaker.
If you are using a Sound Pressure Level (SPL) meter
Take the readings from your listening position and adjust the level
of each speaker to 75 dB (C-weighted/slow model).

When you have adjusted each speaker level, select
2
/
Setting OK and press the ENTER button to return to
the previous screen.
The VOLUME will return to its original position.
6 Select EXIT with the 5¥
ENTER button to return to the System Setup menu.
Next, proceed to Crossover Network on the next page.
If you want to change a setting before proceeding
