3 Press 2/1 to adjust the flash
output and then press [MENU/SET].
• Select [0] to return to the original flash
output.
• You can also use the front dial or the
rear dial to set.
4 Press [MENU/SET] to close the
menu.
• You can also press the shutter button
halfway to close the menu.
• You can adjust from [`2 EV] to [_2 EV] in
steps of [1/3 EV].
• If you adjust the flash output, the adjusted
flash output value is displayed on the LCD
monitor. Also, [
Viewfinder.
• The flash output setting is memorised
even if the camera is turned off.

Setting to the 2nd Curtain Synchro

2nd curtain synchro activates the flash just
before the shutter closes when taking
pictures of moving objects such as cars
using a slow shutter speed.
1 Press [MENU/SET] to display the
menu.
2 Press 3/4/2/1 to select
[FLASH SYNC.] in the [REC]

• The light source appears behind the
subject and picture becomes dynamic.
• Set it to [1ST] normally.
• [2ND] is displayed in the flash icon on the
LCD monitor if you set [FLASH SYNC.] to
[2ND].
• The flash sync. settings are also effective
when using an external flash. (P123)
• When a fast shutter speed is set, the effect
of 2nd curtain synchro may deteriorate.
• You cannot set AUTO/Red-eye reduction
