    Introduction Congratulations to your new CB-Radio AE 6890. This CB-Radio from our Heavy Duty series is an extremely solid and robust made radio and is allowed nearly all over Europe (except Austria, there you are only allowed to use a special programmed FM version), which you can program fitting to the country in which you want to use this radio.

    Installation of the radio You can either operate your ALBRECHT AE 6890 in the car or at home as a base station. For installation as a mobile station in the car, a mobile mounting set is enclosed. Mount the set in such a way that it is not exposed to direct sunlight if possible, as this would lead to an increase in the temperature and can decrease the (set’s) working life.

    Ext. S-Meter 12 V cable Connect your CB antenna to the ANT socket on the rear side of your ALBRECHT AE 6890. Most CB antennas must be tuned to best radiation during installation to give highest effective communication range. CB specialists do that job with a standing wave (SWR) meter to check and adjust the aerial.

    Austria, you are allowed to let your CB radio installed as it is, but you are not allowed to use it. For customers in Austria, we supply a CEPT version AE 6890 FM without selectable countries on request. Also authorized distributors can modify an existing standard model into AE 6890 FM version for Austria.
