ELECTRICAL PREPARATION
,4) The switched power outlet must be outside the DishDrawer®
cavity so that it is accessibleafter installation,
B) The switched power outlet must be between 6" (150mm) and
18" (450mm) from the DishDrawer® cavity.
¢) Referto Page9, Step 5 for electrical connection options,
Important!
The services hole in the DishDrawer® cavity needs to be large
enoughfor the plug on the power supply cordto fit through,but MUST
NOT be more than 11/{' (38ram).
PLUMBING & DRAINAGE PREPARATION
,4) A readilyaccessiblevalve must be installed in the water supply pipe.
B) If the supply pressureexceeds 145 psi (lO00kPa),then a pressure
limiting valve must be used,
C) Review PlumbingOptionson pages 4 or 6. Choosea method that best
suits your needs,
D) A Drain Hoseextension Kit P/N 525798 will extend the drain hoses
by 1413/4"(3,6m), The kit is availablefrom the nearest Fisher&Paykel
AuthorizedServiceAgent, DONOTextend beyondthis limit,
E) This Dishwasher'smaximum drain height is 37//2" (950mm).

POWER SUPPLY
CORD
,4) Care should be taken when the appliance is installed or
removed to reduce the likelihood of damage to the power
supply cord,
B) If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by
the Manufacturer, Service Agent or a similarly qualified person
in order to avoid a hazard,
GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
,4) This appliancemust be grounded. In the event of malfunction or
breakdown,groundingwill reducethe risk of electric shock by
providinga path of least resistancefor electric current.
CAVITY PREPARATION
,4) It is recommended that all cabinetry surroundingthe DishDrawer®
(includingthe undersideof the countertop) is sealedwith an oil based
paint or moisture-proofpolyurethaneto prevent possiblesteam
damage, The air in the cavity can get very hot and humid (saturated
at 122°F/50°C)
B) The self-adhesivemoisture protection tape must be applied to the
underside of the countertop to prevent moisture damage, (refer to
cavity diagram pg 3 or 5), Be sure surfacesare dry and dust-free
prior to application.
C) Be surethe cavity providessufficient materialto secure the DishDrawer®
using the mounting tabs (refer to step 1, page 7). If there is
nothing to screw to, add a brace. Seepage 3 or 5 for screw locations,
D) The services hole MUST be immediatelyadjacent to the rearlower
corner of the cabinetry, If not, the hoseswill preventthe
DishDrawer® being pushedback into the cavity all the way, The hole
can be located on either side dependingon the location of the
services.
E) Be surethe cavity sides are plumb (vertical) as this will assist with
levelling the DishDrawer®,
F) Minimum clearances:
Vs" (2,5mm) LIL
1/s" (2,5mm)
V2" (13mm)
Z_WARNING!
Improperconnectionof the equipment-grounding conductorcan result
in a risk of electric shock. Check with a qualifiedelectrician or
service representativeif youare in doubtas to whether the appliance
is properlygrounded.
B) This appliance is equipped with a power supply cord having an
equipment-groundingconductor and an earthing plug, The power
supply plug must be pluggedinto an appropriateoutlet that is installed
and earthed in accordancewith all local Codesand Ordinances,

Do not modifythe power supplyplugprovidedwith the appliance- if
it will not fit the outlet, havea properoutlet installedby a qualified
electrician. Do not use an extensioncord, adaptorplug or multiple
outlet box.
