Note that the battery of a newly purchased camera is not charged. Perform the steps below to load the battery into the camera and charge it. • Your camera requires a special CASIO rechargeable lithium ion battery (NP-130A or NP-130) for power. Never try to use any other type of battery.

Recording Movies with Premium Auto Pro When Premium Auto Pro is enabled (page 34), the camera automatically make judgments about the subject, shooting conditions, and other parameters. The result is higher quality images than those produced by Program Auto recording. The shooting environment detected by the camera is displayed at the bottom of the REC mode screen.
Page 73 IMPORTANT! • Spending a long time using movie recording will cause the camera to become slightly warm to the touch. Recording a High-definition Movie This camera supports recording of high-definition (FHD) movies. The aspect ratio of an FHD movie is 16:9, the image size is 1920 1080 pixels, and the frame rate is 30 fps. Image quality and image size settings cannot be changed.
