Important Safety Instructions

To ensure safe and proper operation of the AirSource 3000 system, it's crucial
that you abide by these important safety instructions.
ELECTRICAL HAZARD
•Do not use the unit outdoors where exposed to rain or moisture. Do not handle plug or
appliance with wet hands.
•Do not operate the unit near sources of water — for example, bathtub, wash bowl, kitchen
sink, laundry tub, wet basement, or swimming pool. If the unit comes in contact with liquid,
remove its plug from the outlet immediately.
•Do not allow foreign objects to enter intake and outlet openings as this may cause electric
shock or damage to the unit. Do not block air intake or outlet openings.
•Do not use the unit where combustible gases or vapors are present.
•THE WARRANTY WILL BE VOIDED IF YOU REPAIR THE UNIT YOURSELF. Contact
AirSource Customer Support (1-866 - GREAT- AIR) for instructions on how to return the unit for
repairs. THE WARRANTY WILL BE VOIDED IF YOU DO NOT REGISTER WITHIN 30
DAYS OF PURCHASE.
•To reduce the risk of electric shock, this equipment has a grounding-type plug with a third
(grounding) pin. Do not operate on a non-grounded outlet. Use of a two-pronged adapter is
suitable only if the grounding attachment is properly connected and the circuit is grounded.
If the plug does not fit into the outlet, contact qualified personnel to install the proper outlet.
Do not alter the plug in any way. Avoid using an extension cord for prolonged periods of time.
KEEP UNIT OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN.
NEVER LOOK DIRECTLY INTO THE LAMP WHILE IT IS ILLUMINATED.
Doing so can cause extreme dryness and irritation to the eyes. Prolonged direct exposure
can cause blindness. The unit has been specifically designed to prevent a person from looking
directly at the ultraviolet lamp while it is illuminated. Reflected light and the light showing
through the polycarbonate oval ring are safe to look at.
DO NOT TOUCH THE UV LAMP.
Do not place your face directly in front of the air vents on the unit while in operation.
Do not use unit in a room smaller than 500 square feet or in a room that does not have
ventilation. Do not use multiple air treatment units in the same room.
Use in the largest room, or most heavily trafficked area in the house.
Place near the cold air return with the HVAC system set to "Fan on" to maintain good
air circulation.
Run ceiling or ventilating fans frequently.
Place the unit 4 to 6 feet above the floor or as close as possible to that height.
Do not place in an area that does not have ventilation and do not use multiple units
in the same space.
