Speedometer
The speedometer indicates the water speed of the boat in
miles per hour. It is recommended that the speedometer be
checked for accuracy after each 100 engine hours.
Speed may be checked using a stopwatch and a standard
slalom course. Adjust the speedometer needle by turning
the knob at the bottom of the gauge.
NOTE: If the speedometer registers erratically, check
speedometer pickups.

Tachometer
The tachometer registers the operating speed of the motor's
shaft output and may be used as an alternative to
speedometer if weight and water conditions permit.
DO NOT exceed the recommended RPM during break-in
and normal operation of your motor. Exceeding the
manufacturer's suggested RPM may cause damage to the
engine.

Engine Hours

ENGINE HOURS are shown on the face of the Tachometer.
The engine hour gauge acts as an odometer for the engine.
Engine hours should always be noted and documented so
that required maintenance and lubricant changes may be
performed at the proper intervals.
The speedometer pickup is located on the bottom of the hull. The pickup
measures the speed of water passing the paddlewheel. Poor water conditions
or foreign material may clog the pickup causing the speedometer to register
incorrectly.
Inspect the paddlewheel and remove any foreign material.
Please see paddlewheel owner manual in the Boat Owner's Packet
for more information.
