The scanned image is incomplete or
unclear. You are given a list of possible
spellings from which to choose.
The scanned word corresponds to two or
more identical dictionary entries with
separate meanings (i.e., homonyms)—for
example, 'bear
Word list for the word 'bear'
To use the word list:
1. From the Dictionary Screen, press
The word list for the selected word
appears.
2. Scroll to the word you want and press
The definitions for the selected word
appear.
3. To return to the word list, press
4. To exit the list without making a selection
press
Homographs
A homograph is a word that has more than one
pronunciation with a corresponding separate
meaning—for example, 'close' (verb) and 'close'
(adj.). If you scan a homograph when the Auto
Speak option is activated, the Pen will read out
both pronunciations, separated by the word "or".
