  • Page 5 The remote radio transmitter has been ergonomically designed for the ultimate in comfort and feel. It is water resistant and has the following features: • Variable Stimulation Buttons You control the level of stimulation with the stimulation buttons. Each one is color coded and varies in intensity. Refer to "Using the System" (Page 9) for more details.
  • Page 6 However, conditions such as weather, terrain, and other environmental factors can affect and thus reduce the range. To get the maximum range out of your Sport Dog Trainer, hold the transmitter in a vertical position above your head. Also, make sure that the antenna is located on the right side of the dog and is as upright as possible.
  • Page 7 Figure 1 B. Inserting the Batteries in the Transmitter • The Sport Dog Transmitter requires two (2) 9 volt alkaline batteries. To insert the batteries, follow the instructions listed below: • Open the battery door by loosening the two screws in the lower back panel of the transmitter handle.
  • Page 8 C. Mounting the Antenna on the Transmitter Screw the shorter antenna into the antenna mount located on top of the transmitter. The antenna is to be hand tight- ened until the black o-ring is snug against the antenna mount. Refer to Figure 4 for proper installation.

    3. Using the System A. Testing the System With an activated receiver collar, the Sport Dog Trainer can be tested to verify it is functioning properly. We recommend that you test your system, before beginning any training, to ensure that you get the desired results from your Sport Dog Trainer.
  • Page 11 (See page 10). B. Placing the Receiver Collar on Your Dog • Before placing the Sport Dog Trainer on your dog, be sure to wash your dog’s neck and collar’s probes with antibacterial soap. Do this at least once a week to prevent irritation.
  • Page 12 There are four ranges of intensity levels that can be changed by adjusting two switches located in the receiver. They vary from low to very high. Your Sport Dog Trainer is factory set at the low intensity level. When adjusting the switches, make sure you have a small, sharp object.
  • Page 13 The diagrams below show the switch configurations for each intensity level. The "on" position reflects the switch being flipped towards the battery compartment.   • Page 14 Trainer can be adjusted to one of sixteen (16) User Identification Codes. This code must be the same in both the transmitter and receiver in order for the Sport Dog Trainer to function properly. Receiver switches #1 through #4 are used to set the User Identification Code.
