If taking multiple measurements, please allow 10 min-

utes between measurements. This will allow your blood
vessels to return to their normal state.
• If you have consumed beverages containing caffeine or
have smoked, please allow 30 - 45 minutes before tak-
ing your measurement.
• Do not place the cuff over a
jacket or sweater sleeve; it
must be wrapped around your
exposed upper arm.
Keep in mind that blood pres-

sure naturally varies from time
to time throughout the day and is affected by many dif-
ferent factors, such as smoking, alcohol consumption,
medication, and physical activity.
• Make sure the cuff plug is attached to the monitor as
shown above.
