RECEPTION TIPS
To help improve or maximize reception, fully extend the telescopic
antenna. Rotate the antenna for optimal reception. You can also physi-
cally carry the radio to different locations to improve reception.
WEATHER RADIO
The NOAA Weather Service continuously broadcasts both local and distant
weather information 24 hours a day. Regularly updated weather reports
are repeated every 4-6 minutes. NOAA broadcasts are specific to the
area; for example, coastal broadcasts include marine conditions and
mountain areas receive snowfall information and avalanche warnings.
The MW-1 covers the following weather frequencies:

WARNING
To prevent damage, do not expose the unit to rain, moisture or direct
sunlight.
