10 - IS THERE A PROBLEM ?
Problems
Water runs through the holes in the

Depending on the model:
Steam output is set at minimum.

Cap screwed on incorrectly.
■
The seal on the cap is damaged
■
The appliance is faulty.
■
Solutions
Do not fill the boiler right up to
■
the top.
Contact an Approved Service
■
Centre.
Wait for the iron's thermostat
■
light to go out before activating
the steam control button.
Wait for the iron's thermostat
■
light to come on and go off
again before activating the steam
control button.
Depending on the model:
Decrease the steam output while
■
ironing at low temperature
(control dial on base unit).
Press the steam control button away
■
the iron produces steam.
■
Rinse out the boiler after every
■
increase the frequency.
Never add this type of product in
■
the boiler (see our recommenda-
tions regarding water to be used).
Ensure linen is rinsed thoroughly
■
to remove any soap deposits or
chemicals on new garments which
have been sucked up by the iron.

Always spray starch onto the reverse
■
side of the fabric to be ironed.
Fill the boiler.
■
After switching on, wait for the
■
steam indicator light to go out
(after 8 mins.).
Depending on the model:
Increase steam output (control

dial on base unit).
Screw the cap back on.

Change the cap seal (spare seals
■
supplied with the steam generator
in the box).
Stop using the generator and
■
contact an Approved Service
Centre.
