Kodak Picture CD Playback

The introduction of KODAK Picture CD
A Kodak Picture CD has the size and shape of a regular CD. You can order a KODAK Picture CD simply by checking
the box on the photo finishing envelope when you drop off a roll of film (35 mm or Advanced Photo System (APS)
color print film) at the time of processing in Kodak Express store displaying "Kodak Picture CD" sign. When your
order is returned, you receive your prints, negatives, and your full roll of pictures safely stored on your KODAK
Picture CD. Each KODAK Picture CD brings you the tools to enhance, share and manage your pictures on your
computer. You also can record the JPEG picture into CD-R or CD-RW with the CD-Rewriter yourself.
Note:
1. The Max. Size of JPEG Picture can be supported: 3840X3840 pixel.
2. JPEG stands for Joint Picture Experts Group. It is the first International Standard on Still Picture Compressing:
ISO 10918-1,constituted by the Committee on Still Picture Compressing Standard of ISO. The pictures on
KODAK Picture CD are stored in this format (JPEG). This player can decode the JPEG pictures in KODAK
Picture CD and playback the pictures in different modes. Now, you can playback Kodak Picture CDs on this
player and view your wonderful pictures on your TV in the comfort of your living room. When a Kodak Picture
CD is inserted on a player an automatic slide show is launched. Each picture in the Kodak Picture CD will be
displayed consecutively in a slide-show fashion and will be scaled to fit in the whole TV screen.
General function:
You can set slideshow transition modes for any pictures.
Press <PAUSE> to stop playing.
Press <PREV> or <NEXT> to see the previous or next picture.
Press <PLAY> to continue slideshow transitions.
Press <STOP> to return to root menu.
Image Rotation:
There are three modes to rotate a picture: original, 90 Deg, and 180 Deg. These operations are allowed only
when a picture is being displayed normally and will be cancelled automatically when a new picture is displayed.
The <ANGLE> key is used to select the different rotation modes:
Press ANGLE
OSD display
Press ANGLE again
OSD display
Press ANGLE again
OSD display
Zoom Function:
This player provides both Zoom in/out and Zoom pan function. Press the <ZOOM> consecutively, the picture will zoom
in/out in turn as followings:
ZOOM1
ZOOM2
ZOOM3
ZOOM:OFF
ZOOM1/4
ZOOM1/3
Note: During the ZOOM function, slide show transitions and image rotation are disabled.
ZOOM off: close zoom, press PLAY again to resume slideshow transition mode.
Digest function:
Press the <MENU>
to enable the function. The television screen can display up to 12 pictures at a pro ratio.
Press Direction key to select any picture displayed on the screen, then press PLAY,the selected picture
will zoom in and start slide show transition.
Note: the quality of the picture displaying on your screen is mostly subjected to your display equipment.

Troubleshooting

For your convenience, we have enlisted some points to help solve problems you might encounter while using DVD player.
No sound
Make sure the good connection between player and other appliances such as power amplifier or TV.

Make sure the DVD player is in correct mode, otherwise, press <P/N> key several times to solve it.
Disc does not play

Make sure the disc is loaded correctly (label side is facing up on the disc tray).

Remote controller does not work
Move the obstacle between player and remote controller away.

Picture dividing

Make sure the disc is clear and no any scratch on it.

For the player is controlled by micro-computer, if encountering problem, switch of the power first, and switch on again
in a few second, by then if no mistake notice is displayed, the player could work well.
SAFE MODE
The main unit will be in safe mode if it does not respond to any operation due to interference ty accident or strong noise
signals. To resolve this problem, you must pull out the power cord and plug it in again later 10 seconds.
Notes on condensation
Occasionally, condensation may occur within the device, resulting in drops of water forming on the optical pick-upinside
the unit. This is much like the condensation that takes place on a glass of cold water. This condensation may affect the
overall performance of the machine.
Condensation occurs when:
1. It is moved from a cold area to a warm area.
2. Its surrounding area is exposed to a sudden change in temmperature, for example, when located near an air-conditioner.
3. In summer, the unit is moved from a hot and humid environment immediately into an air-conditioned room.
4. The device is in a humid environment.

Care of discs

Protection
a. When loading or removing the discs, always hold them by the center and edge.
b. Do not stick or write anything on the surface.Protect discs against any fingerprint.
Cleaning
Wipe the discs from time to time using a soft cloth. Always wipe from the center toward the edge.
Storage
a. Never warp the discs. During no-sue periods,store them in their cases, which should be kept vertically. Do not expose
discs to high temperature,dampness or extremely low temperature, or else it may cause damage to the discs.
b. Do not expose discs to direct sunlight.
The DVD player contains laser devices. The top cover of the DVD module acts as a protective housing.Laser radiation is
dangerous when the top cover is removed or opened. Avoid direct exposure to beamduring service or repair.
