The handsets are programmed to work with a specific base unit. You cannot switch to a Base Units and Handsets new handset or a new base unit without having it reprogrammed by Vertical Communications. BATTERY PACKS contain rechargeable, sealed Nickel-Metal-Hydride batteries. Select a location for the DECT Cordless Telephone to avoid excessive heat or humidity. The Base Unit of your DECT Cordless Telephone can be placed on a desk or tabletop near a standard 120V AC outlet and telephone line jack.
