8.2 From a memory stick

NOTE
It is only allowed to update with the firmware of which sys-
tem identification is identical to that of yours. Otherwise
you will fail in firmware update.
If you have a USB memory stick, you can update the firmware
from it by taking the following steps:
1. Download a new firmware from the Top-
2. Copy the firmware file to your memory
3. Insert the USB memory stick into the USB
4. Pull out and put the digital receiver's plug into the wall
socket.
5. Press the CHANNEL
you see the message of Checking new download opera-
tion on the screen.
6. When the message of END appears, restart the digital re-
ceiver.
NOTE
Your memory stick must be formatted in the FAT file system.
Otherwise, the digital receiver cannot recognise your USB
memory.
It is possible to transfer a new firmware to the digital receiver
from your computer by connecting them with an RS-232 cable.
