Safety 1st Forehead Strip Thermometer
Important Notes
• Commonly used for babies, young children or when it is difficult to take an oral or
underarm temperature.
• Product should be used indoors at room temperature 68 - 86°F (20-30°C).
• Wait 30 minutes after eating, drinking, or exercising before taking temperature.
Ideally you should lie or sit down at least 5 minutes prior to taking your
temperature for the most accurate reading.
• After use, your thermometer should be cleaned with a soft cloth and stored out of
direct sunlight, dampness, or heat.
• Information obtained with a liquid crystal forehead thermometer is different from,
and will not necessarily give the same readings as, an oral or rectal thermometer.
• Measurement Accuracy:
• Any unusual forehead thermometer readings should be verified.
• Conforms to ASTM E 1061.

Use

Hold the forehead thermometer strip by the ends and place firmly against dry
forehead, just above the eyebrows. Hold in place until the color stops changing,
generally 15 seconds.

Read the indicator while it is still on forehead.

Green indicates the correct temperature; if green does not appear, your
temperature will be mid way between that indicated by the tan and blue.

Storage / Handling

Product should be stored out of direct sunlight, dampness, or heat. Ideally the
product should be stored between 68 - 86°F (20-30°C).
