Make sure the HDD is locked in with the keys.
Network Settings Connected Directly to a High Speed Modem
1. Gather the following from the ISP: Static IP address, Subnet mask, Gateway IP.
2. Plug in the network cable into the network port in the EDSR400.
3. Enter the menu screen by pressing the Menu button.
4. Then use the JOG Dial to traverse through until Network Setting Menu is found.
5. Enter the IP Address specifically assigned for the EDSR400 on your network. This can
be achieved using the Arrow buttons. (NOTE: Static IP Address is DNS Address)
6. Enter the Subnet Mask Address assigned to your network. This can be achieved using
the Arrow buttons.
7. Enter the Gateway Address assigned to your network. This can be achieved using the
Arrow buttons.
8. Exit the Menu by pressing the Menu button and Reboot the EDSR400 by powering it
down and back up.
(NOTE: Please be sure that ports 80, 1111,2222,3333,4444, 6666 are open.)
Network Settings Connected through a Router
1. Gather the following from the LAN/Router: Static IP address, Subnet mask, Gateway.
(Note: the internal IP derives from the LAN/router. IP address MUST be unique or an
unused IP address. From a computer connected to the LAN/router type ipconfig from a
command prompt; this will give you the gateway & subnet from the LAN. Copy the
gateway & subnet and enter this information into the DVR)
2. Enter the menu screen by pressing the Menu button.
3. Then use the JOG Dial to traverse through until Network Setting Menu.
4. Enter the IP Address specifically assigned for the EDSR100 on your network. This can
be achieved using the Arrow buttons. (NOTE: IP Address is assigned by router)
5. Enter the Subnet Mask Address assigned to your network. This can be achieved using
the Arrow buttons.
