    X-RIDE125/290 X-RIDE125/290 MAINTENANCE PROCESSES Condition of the springs The gear-change lever and the footrests are retractable to prevent breakage in case of striking obstacles. The gear-change lever comprises an anchor with a spring that allows 90 degrees of movement, thereby recovering its original position instantly. The anchors on the gear-change lever and the footrests should be clean and lu- bricated to allow them to fold up properly as necessary and return to their position with the action of the spring.

To remove the front wheel: - Remove the nut (1) located on the left fork leg. - Loosen the two screws (2) located on the left fork leg. Front wheel shaft nut - Loosen the screw (3) on the right fork leg.

To remove the rear wheel: - Remove the rear axle shaft nut (1). - Remove the wheel shaft (2). Right side axle nut Tap the end of the wheel shaft with a nylon mallet to aid removal.

The test area (A) of the chain tension is at the midpoint between the front sprocket and the rear sprocket, as pictured.

WARNING The position of the two adjusting screws must be symmetrical to ensure good alignment between the sprockets.
