This drive uses Flash type firmware, a small piece of software that can be overwritten
and updated. To ensure more reliable operations and enhanced performance of the
drive, updates to the firmware will be made available. You can download and

Solutions
Ensure that cables or IDE connectors are not
damaged, bent or dented. Check especially the
pins.
Ensure the Master/Slave device setting of 16x
DVD Dual is not conflict with the other IDE device
connected to the same IDE port.
Use the writing software provided with this 16x
DVD Dual drive. When using other software,
ensure your 16x DVD Dual drive is supported by
contacting the software supplier.

Reinsert the disc with label side up.
Check if the power cord is securely connected to
the connector.

Capacity of CD-R/RW media is limited to 650MB

media limited to 4.7GB including lead-in, lead-out
and TOC data. Use a new CD-R/RW or DVD
