TROUBLESHOOTING
If your GPS205 does not perform to your expectations, try the suggestions listed
below.

Unit does not operate.
!
No GPS Detection.
!
!
!
Cannot send or
receive Caller ID
!
!
Does not operate in
Duplex mode
!
Will not charge.
!
!
Batteries not lasting.
!
!
Check that batteries are inserted correctly.
Replace batteries if flat or recharge if
using rechargeable batteries.
Make sure handset is facing upright & GPS
Receiver location is not obstructed.
Relocate the unit clear of any obstruction
from the sky view.
Make sure your are communicating with a
compatible unit (GPS205 or GPS105) on
channel 22 or 23.
Check that the GPS and SEND POSITION is
set to ON (Quick Start Guide step 5).
Make sure you select channels 1-8 for
Duplex operation.
Check that you are within range of a local
repeater station.
Make sure you are using rechargeable
batteries and the ALKALINE-
RECHARGEABLE switch is in the
RECHARGEABLE position.
Use high quality alkaline batteries.
Extend the battery life by using an
optional cig lead-AC/DC charge pack.
Reduce to LOW transmit power.
