Entering data
Various entry options are available in each program:

Data entry via keypad

Handwritten data entry with the stylus
Entering data with keypad
Display the keypad with the keypad icon located on the right in the status bar.

Operate the keypad by briefly touching it with the stylus.
Entering data in handwriting (handwriting recognition)
You can also make your entries in handwriting on the display with the stylus. The handwriting
recognition function of the operating system converts your handwritten letters into computer type.
Windows Mobile offers you different options for handwritten entry. In some cases it is necessary to
write in a standardised form with the stylus.

Touch the arrow button next to the keypad icon in the status bar and select the desired writing
mode in the pop-up menu.
You will find information on the handwriting input modes in the help of Microsoft Windows for Pocket
PC: tap on Start - Help or on the question mark button in the status bar of the selected write mode.
On the road with the Pocket PC
Your Pocket PC is equipped with a powerful battery. When you're on the road your Pocket PC is
supplied with power by the integrated battery. At your home or office you can recharge the battery in
the cradle. You can also take along the power adapter and connect your Pocket PC directly to an
electrical outlet to recharge the battery when you're on the go.
Charging the battery
The battery is not charged on delivery and should be charged for 12 hours prior to the first

mobile use.
The battery charging time is otherwise approx. 4 hours. When the Pocket PC is operating,
the charging time is extended.

Install the battery in your Pocket PC (see the section "Inserting battery").

Connect the Pocket PC directly to an electrical outlet with the power adapter (see "Connecting
the power adapter" section).
The installed battery will now be charged. The power-on indicator flashes orange.
When the battery is fully charged, the power-on indicator lights continuously orange.

the cradle and how to place the Pocket PC in the cradle to charge the battery.
