Common.Issues
If your phone is not performing to your expectations, please try these simple steps first. If these steps do not
solve your problem, please visit Uniden's customer support page at www.uniden.com.au (Australian model) or
www.uniden.co.nz (New Zealand model).
Symptom
The charge light won't
illuminate when the handset is
placed in the cradle.
The audio sounds weak.
Can't make or receive calls.
The handset doesn't ring or
receive a page.
Make sure the AC adapter is plugged into the base or the charger and wall
outlet.
Make sure the handset is properly seated in the cradle.
Make sure the charging contacts on the handset are clean.
Move the handset and/or base away from metal objects or appliances and
try again.
Make sure that you are not too far from the base.
Make sure that you are not too far from the base.
Make sure the line is not in use. If an outside call is already using a line,
you cannot use that line to make another outside call.
Check both ends of the base telephone line cord.
Make sure the AC adapter is plugged into the base and wall outlet.
Disconnect the AC adapter and reconnect.
Change the Digital Security Code (see page 62).
Make sure that you are not too far from the base.
Charge the battery in the handset for at least 5-20 hours by placing the
handset on the charging cradle.
