11. Messaging

New Messages

When you receive a new Message or Web Alert, your phone will
alert you. Press View (left softkey) to display the message details.
Press (left softkey) to dial the phone number. (Appears
Call
when a phone number is highlighted.)
Press (left softkey) to reply the message. (Appears
Reply
when a phone number or email address is highlighted.)
Press Go (left softkey) to go to the website. (Appears when a
URL is highlighted.)
Press (left softkey) to forward the message. (Appears
Forward
only if there are no phone numbers and URLs in the message.)
Press (right softkey) to display options. (See page 109
Options
for details.)
Tip:
When you highlight a phone number, the left softkey may change as
Call or Reply depending on the circumstances.
Note: Web Alert is a URL. When you buy a ringer or image through your
computer for your phone, your phone will receive a Web Alert. You will
also receive a Web Alert when you receive Picture Messaging. Press
(left softkey) to go to the website.

Message Storage

Your phone can store up to 200 received Messages, 180 sent
Messages, and 20 Web Alerts. When the message memory is full,
the oldest unlocked message will be deleted automatically (see
page 110 for locking the message).

Displaying Messages

To display a Message from the message notification alert, see
"New Messages" on the previous page.
To display a Message from the main menu:
1. Press
to access the main menu.
2. Highlight Messaging and press
3. Highlight Text Msg and press
4. Highlight Inbox, Sent, Outbox, Drafts, or your defined folder and
press . (The message list appears.)
5. Highlight the header of the message you want to see and
press . (The message detail appears.)
To display a Web Alert:
1. Press
to access the main menu.
2. Highlight Messaging and press
3. Highlight Web Alerts and press

4. Highlight the header of the message you want to see and
press . (The Web Alert detail appears.)
