TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE .............................................................

PROBLEM
Transmitter display is blank.
Can't access all the desired
stationson the Transmitter.
Receiver doesn't beep two times
after plugging it in.
Receiver beeps twice after
plugging it in, but won't respond
to Transmitter.
Transmitter display stays on.
"ERR" message in controller
display when controller is in the
run position.
Receiver does not receive signal
from remote held at close range.
Remote has short range (i.e. less
than 100 feet).
CAUSES
Transmitter is off.
Battery is dead.
Maximum station number is set wrong.
SmartPort
is not connected properly.
®
Controller has no power.
Receiver and Transmitter address
don't match.
Transmitter will turn off automatically.
SmartPort wiring leads have been
extended and are receiving radio
interference.
Mismatch of addresses in transmitter
and receiver.
Check for interference causes.
SOLUTIONS
Press any button for 1 second.
Replace battery.
See "Changing the Maximum Station
Number" on page 12.
Recheck SmartPort wiring.
Check controller power.
Relearn address at receiver.
Wait approximately 5 minutes without
pressing any buttons. Transmitter will
"fall asleep."
Replace lengthened wire with shielded
cable to prohibit radio interference. Use
Hunter SRR-SCWH. See "Extending
Wiring on SmartPort Harness" on page 7.
Reset address of receiver. See page 14.
