Skip the Timer Recording Period
You can Deactivate the Timer Recording Period (Daily, MON-
SAT, MON-FRI or Weekly) Temporarily.
1.
Press [
(home) ], then Select "Timer Programming"
using [
/
/
/
], then press [ OK ].
2.
Select the Periodical Timer Recording Program you wish
to Skip using [
/
], then press [
3.
Select "Skip" using [
/
Activate the Setting.
• "Skip" will Appear on the Left side of the Timer
Program, if "Skip" is Activated.
• The Setting will go back to Off after the Program is
Skipped Once.
If the Timer Program Did Not Complete Correctly,
appears in the Timer Programming List.

• A Program that Did Not Complete Correctly is Grayed in
the Timer Programming List.
• To Check the Timer Programming Error Message, select
the Program that Did Not Complete Correctly and press
[ OK ].

Hints for Timer Recording

• If there is a Power Failure or this Unit has been Unplugged
the Clock Setting will be lost. The Timer programming(s)
will be kept. (If Manual Clock has been selected then
you must set the Clock in order for the saved Timer
Recordings to be made.)
• When Recording to a USB-HDD, if the USB-HDD is
Unregistered, the unit will perform Alternate Recording
to the HDD (refer to page 36).
• When a Timer Recording is Completed, the Unit will ask
you whether to Turn the Unit into Standby mode if there
is No Timer Recording which Starts within 5 Minutes,
except under Conditions listed below.
– During Playback/Dubbing of HDD or USB-HDD.
– While Displaying Menus or Information on the Screen.
The Unit will be Turned into Standby mode Automatically if
you Select "Yes" or if you Do Not Reply in 1 minute.
• When the Programmed Starting and Ending Time are
earlier than the Current Time, the Setting will Not Be
Accepted and the Date Field will be Highlighted.
• If the Starting Time is Earlier and the Ending Time is Later
than the Current Time, the Recording will Start Right
After you press [ OK ] at Step
• It is Prohibited to Turn the Unit into Standby mode from
4 Minutes before the Programmed Starting Time.
• It is Prohibited to Change the Channel from 90 seconds
before the Programmed Starting Time.
• [ REC ] Does Not Work from 2 Minutes before the
Programmed Starting Time. If it comes to 2 Minutes
before the Starting Time during Basic or One-Touch
Timer Recording, the Recording in Progress will be
Stopped.
Note(s)
• During Basic Recording / One-Touch Timer Recording /
Timer Recording, if you set a Timer Recording that Starts
immediately, a message will appear on the Screen asking
whether you wish to Stop the Recording in Progress and
Start the Timer Recording. Choose "Yes" if you wish to
Start the Timer Recording immediately.
• Basic Recording and One-Touch Timer Recording will
Stop when Timer Recording starts.
• Recording will Temporarily Stop if Scrambled Signal is
Received.
• When the Daylight Saving Time Setting is ON, a Timer
Program that has Start and End Time between 2:00 AM
and 2:59 AM will Not Be Recorded on the Second Sunday
in March.
