The unit could be switched to DVD Mode if disc inside;

Connect an external audio/video device to this jack to watch to the device through
your car video system.
12. [EJECT]
When flip down the front panel, press to eject / load a disc.
13. SD CARD SLOT
The unit will be switched to SD Mode automatically when SD card inserted, and play
the songs, pictures, videos in SD card.
