TROUBLESHOOTING

ANYONE using or servicing this generator must read, understand, and follow all safety and operation instructions pro-
vided in the product manual. Failure to closely follow these instructions can result in circumstances leading to death,

Using a generator indoors CAN KILL YOU IN MINUTES.
Generator exhaust contains carbon monoxide. This is a poi-
son you cannot see or smell.
NEVER use inside a home
or garage, EVEN IF doors
and windows are open.
PROBABLE CAUSE
No fuel.
Stale fuel.
No or low engine oil.
Spark plug wire (cap) disconnected.
Faulty/bad spark plug.
Fuel not reaching carburetor.
Dirty air filter.
Dirty spark arrestor screen.
No fuel.
No or low engine oil.
Electrical overload on generator.
Poor connection or defective cord.
Connected electrical appliance/
equipment is defective.
Low battery charge.
Only use OUTSIDE and far
away from windows, doors, and
vents.
Add fuel (page 25).
Drain fuel tank; fill with fresh fuel (page 30).
Add engine oil (page 22).
Install spark plug cap over spark plug.
Check/replace spark plug (page 28).
Clean fuel sediment cup (page 27).
Clean or replace air filter (page 25).
Clean spark arrestor screen (page 29).
Add fuel (page 25).
Add engine oil (page 22).
Check all circuit breakers for "tripped' position. If the
master circuit breaker is tripped, reduce the load on the
Twist-Lock (NEMA L14-30R) outlet. If a duplex outlet
breaker is tripped, reduce the load on the duplex (NEMA
5-20R) outlet above the breaker, wait several minutes for
the breaker to cool, and then push to reset.
Check cord connection. Replace defective cord.
Check electrical appliance/equipment for defects. Dis-
connect defective appliance/equipment from the genera-
tor. Have appliance serviced by qualified repair facility.
Charge / replace battery.
